24 year-old Hugo is originally from Ste-Perpétue, in the Québec-Centre region. After rising through the echelons of Canadian cycling, including winning several Québec and national titles—particularly in time-trial events—he today rides as a professional member of the French Ag2r-La Mondiale team, active on the UCI World Tour.

In addition to his many races in Europe and North America, including several rides in the Grand Prix Cyclistes de Québec et Montréal, Hugo has participated in great European classics such as the Tour of the Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and the Giro d’Italia.

Hugo knows the roads of all our courses pretty well, having ridden and trained on them on many occasions. Convinced that this event is a potential winner, both for the difficulty of the course, the beauty of the landscapes, and overall dynamism of the region, he has joined us as an Ambassador of the Appalachian Classic, committed to contributing to the success of the event and, even more broadly, to the continued development of cycling
in Québec.
